Linux or Windows ?

There has always been a debate over which operating system is the best one to use for your web hosting. In the end what it really comes down to what you plan to do with your web site.

 

If you need to use PHP, Pearl or MySQL then Linux is the better choice as Linux is the native platform for these and has the most complete support.

 

If you wish to use ASP.NET, Classic ASP, Microsoft SQL then Windows is the better choice.

 

If you are unsure we recommend choosing Windows as it does offer the widest support for all of the languages above.
